I am delighted to have taken over as Chair of TIOB succeeding Andrew Ashton (Bursar, Radley College) who has become Chair of a newly formed committee on BSA Group Board (ORENO – Organisation, Remuneration and Nomination Committee). I am sure you will join me in my heartfelt thanks to Andrew for all his support as founding Chair. Andrew remains a committed member to TIOB and his expertise and experience will be very welcome.
TIOB Director, Lorraine Atkins has stepped down from her role and moves on with my thanks for all her hard work. Gaelle Sullivan will now take over as Director of TIOB and is looking forward to meeting members. Gaelle is an experienced senior leader and has worked in a range of state and independent schools. She is a qualified SENCO and holds a Masters Degree in Inclusive Education. Prior to joining TIOB, Gaelle was Deputy Head Pastoral, DSL and Head of Boarding at an all-girls independent school in the South-East.
Gaelle comes with lots of enthusiasm and ideas to support and develop our member offering and will be in touch with members in the coming weeks to get to know you. If you would like to meet Gaelle or arrange a call with her, please do get in touch via gaelle.sullivan@tiob.org.uk.
It is an exciting time to be part of TIOB with rapidly growing membership, an exciting programme of professional development for individual members and growing networking opportunities. As with anything, and especially as pathfinder members, the more we put in, the more we will get out; on that basis, I really do encourage you to engage with Gaelle as she looks to shape our institute for the future.
We are in the process of organising our first, in-person networking event, so please look out for details and I look forward to seeing you all soon.
