Course outline:
This webinar aims to provide an overview of the process behind getting a promotion for those with the desire to take on new responsibilities and challenges to grow their career in the boarding sector.
We will discuss how to create a skill set for promotion, how to identify what areas you would like to focus upon and the challenges you will meet on the way.

Speaker:
Mark Lauder, Headmaster, Strathallan School
Mark Lauder was educated at Hermitage Academy and studied at the University of Aberdeen before completing graduate work at St Edmund Hall, Oxford, where he served as Junior Dean. He began teaching at Shiplake College as Head of History and later returned to Oxford in 1999 to become Head of History and then a Housemaster at St Edward’s School. In 2007 he became Deputy Headmaster and Head of Boarding at Felsted School, before being appointed Headmaster of Ashville College in 2010. An ISI inspector, former BSA Chair, and member of TIOB, he is now in his eighth year leading Strathallan School.
