Post title: Easter Revision Lead House Parent

Responsible to: Easter Revision Course Directors

Hours and Remuneration:

Weekday supervision Sunday 26 March to Friday 31 March and/or Sunday 2 April to Friday 7 April

(Good Friday)and/or Sunday 9 April-Friday 14 April

Working hours: Sunday 16:00 – 09:00; Monday-Thursday: 17:00-9:00. Friday 17:00-18:30.

Remuneration: £600 (gross) per week

Weekend supervision (31 March – 2 April and 7 – 9 April)

Working hours: Friday 16:30 to Sunday 16:00 of the agreed weekend/s. Remuneration: £240 (gross) per weekend.

On rotation to be available between 09.00 – 17.00 in case of emergency.

Location: Churchill College, University of Cambridge, Storey’s Way, Cambridge CB3 0DS

Main duties will include:

  • Liaising with residence staff management, porters, kitchen staff etc.
  • Update student details and related administration.
  • Greet students at residence, allocate keys, etc.
  • Room check
  • Deal with any behaviour/discipline issues.
  • Ensure all health and safety and safeguarding procedures are adhered to.
  • Supervise the Common Room
  • Assist in the running of evening activities i.e. sports, gym membership, films, quiz, etc.
  • Escort students to and from MPW on the shuttle bus.
  • Ensuring students depart safely at the end of their course.

In addition:-

  • Manage Accommodation Supervisors
  • Manage student absences / illness and liaise with Easter Revision Course Directors.
  • Lead daily meetings with Accommodation Supervisors
  • Meet daily with Easter Revision Course Directors and report concerns.

Person Specification

Essential Desirable Assessment Method

Qualifications: Educated to A level or Educated to post A-level or Production of the equivalent beyond Applicant’s certificates
