Managing challenging conversations

Monday 10 November, 10:30 - 12:30

šŸ·ļø Ā£135-270
šŸ“ Online

Course Outline:

“Life would be easier if we only ever met people we liked and got along with — but that’s not reality. People are different, and those differences can make relationships tricky, impacting how we feel and behave. That’s why managing difficult conversations with colleagues and others we interact with is a vital skill.

What makes a conversation ā€˜difficult’?

Our brains interpret the world uniquely, so we don’t all see the same things the same way. This session offers insights into why mastering difficult conversations matters and how to navigate them effectively.
This interactive session includes group activities and discussions to help you develop confidence and skills.

Learning outcomes:

  • Recognise different types of difficult conversations
  • Understand the consequences of avoiding tough talks
  • Identify common pitfalls in managing challenging conversations
  • Explore key factors that influence behaviour
  • Adapt your approach to different personality types
