Course Outline:
This interaction session will cover key interpersonal skills such as effective communication, active listening, negotiation, and mediation. You’ll learn how to address disagreements productively while strengthening team cohesion and morale.
We’ll also take a closer look at managing formal processes, including staff disciplinaries and workplace investigations. We’ll demonstrate how strong conflict management skills can support procedural fairness, the preservation of professional relationships, and become a powerful catalyst for innovation and growth.
Learning outcomes:
- Be able to understand the causes and dynamics of conflict including different conflict resolution models and theories
- Develop proactive, effective and constructive conflict resolution skills and recognising the value of different perspectives
- Be confident in leading on staff disciplinaries and investigations both in terms of process and maintaining relationships.
