š Online
Course Outline:
In a world shaped by rapid technological change, artificial intelligence, and constant information flow, success is no longer determined only by what we know, but by how well we adapt and manage pressure. Resilience is therefore a critical skill for the next generation, yet it remains largely underdeveloped within the current education system.
This one-hour session explores what resilience really means, why it matters for young people today, and how it can be measured and developed in education. Drawing on Michelleās Masterās and PhD research, the session introduces theĀ Student Resilience Quotient Inventory (sRQiā¢), a psychometric tool designed to assess and support resilience in students.
Session Will Include:
- The changing world: AI, technology and increasing pressure on young people
- What resilience really means and why it matters
- Insights from resilience research in education
- Measuring resilience using the Student Resilience Quotient Inventory (sRQiā¢)
- Digital wellbeing and the impact of the online world on young people
Learning Outcomes:
By the end of the session participants will:
- Understand resilience as aĀ skill that can be developed, not a fixed trait
