The Role
We are looking for an experienced Head of Pastoral Care to join our excellent team who have been shortlisted for the ISA Wellbeing award hosted this autumn who will also hold the post of Designated Safeguarding Lead. This is a key role providing support and oversight of the Pastoral Team, wellbeing of the children and pastoral support during exams. Additionally, you will lead, support and promote established Appleford traditions and events, chair/attend School/Boarding Council meetings and coordinate the Independent Person.
As DSL you will take the lead responsibility for safeguarding and child protection across the school, remaining current on legislative updates and changes, disseminating these to staff and ensuring that relevant training is completed. In readiness for ISI and OFSTED inspections, you will play a key role in ensuring compliance requirements are fully met.

This position is 43 weeks to include term times.
