Overview

Following the announcement by our current Headteacher of his retirement at the end current academic year, the Governing Body wishes to appoint an energetic, inspirational, and passionate Headteacher. The successful candidate will work in partnership with our dedicated and caring staff, supportive governing body and happy, motivated and receptive children and families from September 2023.

We would love to receive applications from current inspirational Headteachers or aspirational, experienced Senior Leaders who are seeking to step up to a headship position who will relish the opportunity to lead Robertswood into the future.

Term time only

Salary Type: Leadership

Salary details: L18-L24 £65,310-£75,466 pending pay review

Contract type: Permanent

Hours: Full time

About The Role

Main purpose

The headteacher will:

  • Establish and sustain the school’s ethos and strategic direction together with the governing board and through consultation with the school community
  • Maintain a positive partnership between all members of the school and the wider community and ensure that the school has an open and inclusive ethos.
  • Establish and oversee systems, processes and policies so the school can operate effectively and efficiently.
  • Identify barriers to school effectiveness, and develop strategies for school improvement that are realistic, timely and suited to the school’s context
  • Make sure these school improvement strategies are effectively implemented in a timely manner.
  • Monitor progress towards achieving the school’s aims and objectives
  • Allocate financial resources appropriately, efficiently and effectively.
