Salary: £30,000 – £31,000 plus Accommodation and Meals

A leading independent sixth form college in Oxford are seeking an engaging and caring Housemistress/Housemistress. This is a full time and permanent role from April/May 2023.

This independent sixth form offers an exciting and challenging education. Pupils are part of a school community that cares for each other and allows each member to grow as an individual. There is a love of learning instilled within the pupils and the school’s aim is for pupils to aspire to be leaders in all walks of life.

The Principal is seeking an adaptable, self-motivated, energetic and caring individual to take up the role of Housemaster/mistress within the boarding house. The primary role is to provide outstanding pastoral care for the young adults in the boarding house. Most importantly, the Housemaster/mistress must be compassionate and dynamic. You will lead the House team with the day to day concerns for the pupils and all aspects of running the boarding house. The successful candidate will possess effective communication skills, both written and spoken and possess good organisational skills as well as adaptability. You will understand the importance of attention to detail and have the ability to work with flexibility and with initiative and be a team player. You must have experience of working within a boarding setting. There are approximately 25 boarders in the house and will be supported by a small boarding team.
