Job Description

Claremont School is a co-educational, independent day and boarding school. We have approximately 700 students with a community of approximately 80 boarders from the UK as well as other countries around the world, adding an important international and multicultural dimension to the school.

We are seeking a caring, dynamic and enthusiastic RESIDENTIAL BOARDING ASSISTANT to join one of our two boarding houses, situated in the town of Battle, East Sussex, with a view to start as soon as possible. This house accommodates our junior and female students (Y7 to Y13). The ideal candidate will have a genuine interest in the welfare of young people and will be prepared to go the extra mile. Good organisational and communication skills are essential to thrive in our international boarding community and to be an effective member of the boarding team.

This position is residential with single staff accommodation being provided as part of the salary package. This post is term-time only with the hours of work being 40 hours a week. Previous boarding experience is an advantage but not essential, as full training will be provided. This job may suit a graduate student interested in gaining experience within an educational setting, but equally a candidate with parenting experience, common sense and positivity would also be considered.
