The School is looking to recruit a non resident Saturday Matron to join the Boarding Pastoral team in term time. Reporting to the Head of Boarding and working alongside a Houseparent, and Assistant, this weekend role will support in a Girls Boarding House from 9am – 6pm every Saturday (more hours can be discussed if required). Wellington School has 5 Boarding Houses, two Girls and Three Boys Houses, which play an important role within the life of the School.
As part of a House team, Matrons helps provide pastoral, social, moral and academic support for the pupils and maintains the rules and ethos of the House. The Matron helps create a warm and welcoming environment for both pupils, their families and other visitors and acts towards pupils as a reasonable parent would, following the principles of ‘in loco parentis’.
