At Cheltenham Ladies’ College, we aim to provide a strong support network for every one of our pupils. Around 700 pupils board with us in one of our 11 Sixth Form and Junior Boarding Houses and your role will be at the heart of this pastoral care as you join one of our dedicated professional teams working under an individual Houseparent.
In addition to looking after our pupils’ wellbeing, you will help with the day-to-day running of the house and more. There is a range of work patterns available, with allocated time off. As part of a close-knit community in the centre of Cheltenham, you will also have easy access to all of the facilities that this thriving town has to offer.
College itself combines a rich heritage with an exciting future. Approximately 860 pupils from 40 countries across the world benefit from the knowledge and expertise gained over the last 170 years. Driven by innovation and challenge, we prepare our girls to achieve their full potential in a complex and changing world.
To be considered for the role of Deputy Houseparent you will have the ability to supervise, encourage and motivate staff and to mentor and support pupils in the house. You will deputise for the Houseparent in their absence and will be responsible for assisting in the smooth running of the House together with coordinating and prioritising work schedules and delegating effectively to the team. Excellent administrative skills and the ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships are a must and an academic background is desirable.
