Head of Boarding

Walhampton is an independent preparatory day and boarding school for 370 boys and girls aged 2-13. The school lies in beautiful ancient woodland on the southern edge of the New Forest, near Lymington in Hampshire.

We are currently recruiting for a Head of Boardng to lead our well-established boarding house from January 2024, however, we can wait until April or September 2024 for the right candidate. The position could be combined with a teaching role in the School but we are keen to receive applicants from non-teachers as well.

As a senior leader, the Head of Boarding will demonstrate a commitment to self-evaluation and improvement. They will provide strategic vision and planning for the personal development, pastoral care and well-being of boarders, for the line management of boarding staff, for the development and implementation of relevant boarding policies and for the overall quality of boarding in the school. They will also be involved in promoting boarding both within the school and beyond Walhampton.
