We are seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to lead and coordinate the Admissions Department. As a pivotal member of our team, the successful applicant will be responsible for the Prep Admissions process, driving the recruitment of new pupils and collaborating closely with the Head of Senior Admissions. The Head of Prep Admissions will report directly to the Head of Millfield Prep School and the Deputy Head (Enrolment and Outreach).
The Head of Prep Admissions will be a passionate advocate for Millfield and our vision to be the world leader for the development of children. In this influential role, they will not only manage the day-to-day operations of the Millfield Preparatory Admissions team but also cultivate strong and productive relationships with teaching and support staff colleagues.
We expect our Head of Prep Admissions to shine as a prominent ambassador for Millfield, showcasing a genuine commitment to outstanding customer service and demonstrating a profound understanding of the market. Administrative and organisational prowess will be essential to excel in this position.
The ideal candidate will possess an understanding and experience of working within independent schools, with knowledge of pupil recruitment both within the UK and overseas.
This is a full-time, year-round position primarily working Monday to Friday, however some weekend and evening work will be required as an integral part of the role. Attendance at all Open Mornings is expected to further contribute to the success of our admissions initiatives.
We welcome applications from candidates interested in working fewer than 52 weeks a year; however, to effectively fulfil the responsibilities of the role, a minimum commitment of 42 weeks per year is required. The salary will be adjusted proportionately to reflect this commitment.
