Are you passionate about boarding education and the pastoral care of young people? If so, Highfield and Brookham School is offering a superb opportunity. We are seeking to appoint House Parents to lead our Junior Boarding House from September 2024. You will be responsible for the welfare and pastoral care of approximately 15 boarding boys and girls in Year 3 to Year 5.

The role/s of Junior House Parent will be combined with teaching, so the successful candidate/s will be qualified to teach. Suitable timetable remission will be provided.

The successful candidates should have experience of working in a boarding environment and excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Our philosophy for boarding is to create an environment that is happy, welcoming and that ever-important home away from home for our youngest boarders.

Our Junior Boarding House sits apart from the Senior Boarding accommodation. There is the option to board for a minimum of 2 nights across the week right up to fully boarding including weekends. An Assistant House Parent will work alongside the Junior House Parents. Boarding at Highfield and Brookham continues to be robust, accommodating up to 130 boarders across the Junior and Senior Boarding houses.
