Oral exams could weed out artificial intelligence cheats

The risk of cheats using artificial intelligence (AI) systems means that schools can no longer rely on coursework to assess pupils, who should instead sit more oral exams, a report has said.

EDSK, an education think tank, says the improvements to ChatGPT and other AI tools means written coursework is “no longer viable due to the insurmountable risk of cheating”.
