  • Date: November 23, 2022
  • Time: 11:00 – 13:00
  • Cost: TIOB Member – £100, Non-member – £200
  • Audience: All boarding staff

This two-hour seminar will train boarding team members in coaching skills and tools to use with students to:

    1. Increase self-disclosure
    2. Support anxiety
    3. Encourage self-reflection
    4. Promote problem-solving

Course overview

Pupils have had a two-year period where their socialisation has been stilted or reduced. Schools are reporting students are less socialised, withdrawn and parents are less resilient when their son or daughter is anxious. Increasingly in schools, the boarding team is being asked to support in a greater depth. How do the team support the growing demands from pupils? What strategies can be employed?
